Got It Today

Today I got my Covid booster.

I told them I wanted the Moderna vaccine because that is what I had before. I know they say you can mix and match. I just figured that I would be more confident with the same.

My son went with me and got his too. The only thing is that they did not give him a booster. They gave him another dose (the full amount) because he is diabetic.

So once again I am feeling no ill effects. I have had no side effects from any of the three shots. I feel fortunate.

My son's arm is quite sore. He has had minor soreness with each one. I'm sure he will feel better in a couple of days.

I am glad I now have stronger immunity and so does my son.  I hope all of you do as well.

  2. Dear Emma, good that you have got the booster! I had mine too - a week ago in Berlin - third time Biontec (in Germany they give you only half the dose of Moderna - do not know why, so the doctor said: In this case (!) better Biontec. I had no side-effects (also before I had none). Sorry to read that your son had some, but better to be vaccinated. I wish you a happy time till Christmas!

    1. A lot of people had side effects like you did. My youngest sister said her two granddaughters went to get their shots when it was approved for the little ones. One of the girls was fine. The other had a very sore arm and was extremely tired. Both are fine now. I am glad to know you have been immunized.

  4. yes we have had our vaccinations last March and the booster shots a couple of months ago. We had the Moderna vaccine first, but when we went to the local CVS at out appointment time, only the Pfizer booster was available and after a brief hesitation we decided to go with it and the only reaction was a sore arm the next day.
