What Day Were You Born?

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
And the child born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, good and gay.

                                                  Nursery Rhyme; Author Unknown

I was born on a Sunday. I am bonny and blithe, good and gay. I am a member of the Baby Boomer generation. My Chinese zodiac sign is the sign of the Pig. My star sign is Virgo. I was born the same day as actress Anne Archer, author Paulo Coelho, racing cyclist Roger De Vlaeminck, and Admiral Vladimir Masorin.

The father of my children was born on a Saturday. He did indeed work hard for a living. Member of Baby Boomer generation. His Chinese zodiac sign is the sign of the Rat. His star sign is Aries. He was born the same day as actor Edgar Selge, actor Adam Baumann, and member of European Parliament Jens-Peter Bonde.

My oldest son was born on a Monday. He is fair of face. He is a member of Generation X. His Chinese zodiac sign is Goat/Sheep. His star sign is Taurus. He shares his date of birth with chess player Simen Agdestein, rower Veronica Necula, diplomat Ernesto Araújo, politician Paul Low Seng Kuan, actress Madhuri Dixit, balalaika player Alexey Arkhipovsky, and baseball player John Smoltz.

My second son was born on a Friday. He is loving and giving.  He is a member of Generation X. His Chinese zodiac sign is Monkey. His star sign is Capricorn. Also born the same date as him are race-car driver Michael Schumacher, actor Ingo Brosch, actor John Ales, entrepreneur Lorenzo Fertitta, and actor Matheus Nachtergaele.

My third son was also born on a Friday. He is loving and giving. He is a member of Generation X. His Chinese zodiac sign is Rat. His star sign is Virgo. Other birthdays on the same day are boxer Derrick Gainer, Miss Nepal Ruby Rana, and snooker player Marcus Campbell.

My daughter was born on a Wednesday. She is full of woe. She is a member of Generation X. Her Chinese zodiac sign is Ox. Her star sign is Libra. Other birthdays the same as hers are singer Quique Gonzales, actress Deniz Ugur, soccer player Marcus Phillips, comedian Bhagwant Mann, and reality star Carlton Gebbia,

So... what day were you born>

  1. I was born on a Tuesday (full of grace).

Emma, I was under the impression that you and I are about the same age, you perhaps slightly older. If that is true, you are not a Baby Boomer. Baby Boomer birth years are 1946 through 1964. I am a member of The Silent Generation. That is just wrong on so many levels.

    1. I am a boomer... 1947. When was the silent generation?

    2. From what I have read, 1928 through 1945. I showed up in 1941, several months before Pearl Harbor. Our first child was born in 1964, the last year of the Baby Boomers. Our other two are Gen X’ers.

  2. I'm not a boomer, either. No complaints. I always like that nursery rhyme. Both my daughters were born on a Wednesday, as was I.

    1. There you are. Having far to go is not necessarily a bad thing.

    1. As The witch in Little Lulu comics used to say, "Chortle, chortle."

  5. Oh, I had to be a woeful one, of course. And my son was born on a Monday, and he is show-stoppingly handsome, so much so that it impacts his life daily!

  6. I was born on a Thursday and so this could explain my love of travel. My zodiac sign is Aquarius. The US president was Harry S. Truman (Dem), the UK Prime Minister was Clement Attlee (Labour), Pope Pius XII headed the Catholic Church. In that week of February people in US were listening to Careless Hands by Sammy Kaye & His Orchestra. "I Shot Jesse James" was a popular movie released in 1949 and on TV people were watching Casper.

    1. I love that you took the extra step. Mother Wore Tights was the top movie of August 1947. Smoke, Smoke, Smoke That Cigarette by Tex Williams and His Western Caravan was the number one song. 1947 was the year Howdy Doody and Kukla, Fan, and Ollie began. It was also the premier year of Meet The Press which is still on the air. Harry Truman was president. Attlee was Prime Minister of Great Britain and Pius XII was Pope. Did you know that Pope Pius XII died of a heart attack brought on by a severe case of hiccups? This was fun. Thank you.
